NYE isn't really a happy day for me. It reminds me that I am getting older. It reminds me of all the goals I failed to meet. It reminds me of how my friends and family truly feel about me. It reminds me that I am not cool enough to stay home and do nothing as the clock strikes twelve nor am I cool enough to be at the best parties in town.
New Year's Day is slightly better. At least I can slate some new goals and resolutions. I have some new things to look forward to. I can hope to meet new people and visit new places. My number one aspiration is to be open, truthful, and honest. No more of this Gemini two-facedness.
