Evoque, SCCTO, Russell Brand

I haven't done anything exciting recently until this week. I have 3 events including the Range Rover Evoque launch party last night which was at the Four Seasons Centre - home of the Canadian Opera Company. It was a rather swanky do with uber fancy hors d'oeuvres and free flowing booze...oh yeah...the Evoque was quite nice too with a decent price point for a luxury vehicle, but smaller than the typical Range Rovers I have seen.

Tomorrow I am going to a very prestigious conference in the blogger/twitter community that is exclusively open to the top 200 digital Canadian women. The ShesConnected Conference Toronto is by invitation only and I was graciously offered the chance to attend from the PTPA team. I feel like I slid through the cracks since I am an amateur blogger, and am miles away from the other women attending who have each built strong online presence. I will seize the opportunity to meet and learn from as many of these talented digital women as I can in the next two days. The purpose of this conference is for bloggers and brands to synergize. The attendees have been planning for weeks, and I feel bad that I opted out of the expensive rush business cards and just printed simple cards on card stock at Staples which I spent an hour crafting with the paper cutter (but hey, it cost under 5 bucks!).

After the conference winds down on Friday, I will get some rest and then Saturday night it is off to Casino Rama to see Russel Brand. Though I am not a huge fan of stand up comedy (I only laugh and genuine mishaps and real life slapstick) I love his wife, and a dear friend of mine loves him so we will make an evening of it. I really wish Katy Perry would show up!
