Sick Days

My director told us a story yesterday how he overheard someone in the elevator telling a colleague how he planned on calling in sick on Monday. He then stalked that person down and found out who his manager was, and informed him on what the employee was doing. That was a pretty jerk-ish move, but anyway it inspired me to call in sick today. Our director, who probably doesn't even know all the employees directly under him, doesn't make an effort to talk to people on his own team. So it is jerk-ish for him to go out of his way to get another random person at work in trouble. I think we should all be entitled to our full 6 sick days regardless of whether we are actually sick or not, since we aren't credited with anything if we don't take them. In my defense, I am in fact headachey and have extremely dry hands that are in desperate need of a manicure. That should count as being sick.
